Debbie Taylor

A little bit about Create Childcare

The staff at Create Childcare have varying educational backgrounds and many years of experience. We have worked with both young and teenage children in educational settings, Early Years establishments and community learning centres.

Debbie Taylor - childminder, Croughton

After leaving college I obtained an NVQ Level 2 Social Care qualification and worked as a nanny for 2 years looking after 3 lively boys.
After a short break to start my family, I returned to work as a classroom assistant in a school for children with learning disabilities. During this time I continued to study and gained a Further Education Training Certificate and began tutoring Accredited Life Skills Courses for adults with learning disabilities.
I returned to working with young children in 2004 after qualifying as a Level 3 Early Years practitioner, spending the next 8 years working in the reception class at Croughton Primary School. During this time, I spent 18 months studying for my Level 3 qualification in Forest School. Once qualified I took responsibility for Forest School in the reception class and continued to embrace the Forest School ethos in the childcare that we offer.

Cadell Beckett- childminder, Croughton

I began working at a local nursery 8 years ago where I obtained my NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education. I then took over as a Nursery Leader until relocation.
I then started working as a teaching assistant in the village school and as well as being a childminder providing before and after school care. Since then me and my mum, Debbie have developed our childminding services to provide all day care for babies and children from 6 months to school age.

Beccy Naylor – childcare assistant, Croughton - tutor KS 1&2 Literacy, GCSE & A Level History & Sociology

In 1992 I graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in history. I obtained a PGCE from Swansea University in 1993 and began teaching in secondary schools for the next 19 years where I taught a variety of subjects at GCSE and A Level, including BTEC courses.
Since 2012 I began working as a tutor and since September 2014 as a childcare assistant. I enjoy working with children and young people of all ages and supporting them at all stages of development.
All staff hold the mandatory certificate in:

Level 2 Food Hygiene
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid

Childminders also hold certification in Safe Guarding Children.

Lucy Lake - childcare assistant, Croughton - CACHE Level 2 & Level Diploma in Health and Social Care

I have worked in childcare since leaving college in 2012, after studying Health and Social Care and then Childcare. I began as a teaching assistant in the EYFS at a local primary school where I gained a wide variety of skills and continued to expand my repertoire in working with children. In 2014 I began working as a childcare assistant here at Create Childcare. Working with the children has helped me learn whilst also supporting the children in their own development. Working with children is something I have always done and I only ever want to do what is best for the children in my care.
