After leaving college I obtained an NVQ Level 2 Social Care qualification and worked as a nanny for 2 years looking after 3 lively boys.
After a short break to start my family, I returned to work as a classroom assistant in a school for children with learning disabilities. During this time I continued to study and gained a Further Education Training Certificate and began tutoring Accredited Life Skills Courses for adults with learning disabilities.
I returned to working with young children in 2004 after qualifying as a Level 3 Early Years
practitioner, spending the next 8 years working in the reception class at Croughton Primary School. During this time, I spent 18 months studying for my Level 3 qualification in Forest School
. Once qualified I took responsibility for Forest School in the reception class and continued to embrace the Forest School ethos in the childcare that we offer.
